Construction Project Engineer

Position Overview:
A leading construction and engineering firm is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to multi-million-dollar projects, working closely with Project Managers and Estimators to support all phases of project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the estimating process, including quantity take-offs, attending pre-bid meetings, and soliciting subcontractor bids Develop and maintain master and short-interval project schedules using Primavera Submit weekly installed quantity reports for productivity tracking Manage document control procedures, including drawing logs and document distribution Prepare and update submittal packages, logs, and material status reports Track and update project punch lists or issues matrices Review productivity reports with the Project Manager and Superintendent to identify improvement areas Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and resource providers (labor, materials, equipment) Document additional work and ensure proper approvals Assist with compiling "As Built" drawings and project closeout documentation Maintain organized project files and manage contract administration tasks Support financial management through change orders, invoice approvals, and labor/material tracking Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (required) Minimum of 2 years of construction industry experience Proficient in Primavera and Microsoft Office Suite OSHA 30 certification (preferred) Experience with BIM , Bluebeam , and GradeBeam (preferred) Strong understanding of construction methods and scheduling techniques Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines Desired Traits: Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Professional, clear communicator Adaptable and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Free medical, dental, and life insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contribution 401(k) with one of the highest employer matches in the industry Cash-in-lieu of benefits option available Paid holidays and generous PTO Ongoing professional development opportunities Tight-knit team culture with company events and volunteer opportunities Recognition as one of the region's "Best & Brightest Places to Work"
