Project Manager - Construction & Project Management Consulting Location: Chicago, IL (On-site/Hybrid) Compensation: Up to $180,000 per year, based on experience A top-ranked, fast-growing consultancy in the construction and real estate space is seeking a Project Manager to support complex capital projects for a healthcare client. This is a high-impact role offering visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on major initiatives in the Chicago market, with occasional travel. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing project deliverables across all phases. You'll collaborate with internal and client-side stakeholders to manage schedules, budgets, documentation, and project controls with a focus on operational efficiency and value engineering. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate all aspects of project scope, schedule, and budget. Develop and maintain detailed Project Management Plans, including budgets and fee proposals. Engage in value engineering to identify savings while maintaining design and performance integrity. Facilitate communication across stakeholders, project teams, and clients. Monitor and track project goals, ensuring alignment with client expectations. Collaborate with cost management teams on estimates, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Coordinate permitting efforts and manage submissions to appropriate agencies. Maintain project documentation and support efficient internal workflows. Drive proactive problem-solving and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Deliver regular reporting on cost and revenue forecasts. Ensure compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, construction, or engineering roles. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and scope effectively. Familiarity with permitting and regulatory processes in the construction industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and related project management tools. Preferred: Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, PE, AIA, or LEED AP. Experience with healthcare facilities or other highly regulated environments. Ability to lead project teams through complex stakeholder environments.
