Our client, a well-established and reputable General Contractor based in Houston , is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality commercial construction projects from the ground up.

The Role: As the on-site leader, the Construction Superintendent will be responsible for: Managing day-to-day field operations and overall project execution Enforcing safety standards and site compliance (OSHA and company protocols) Coordinating subcontractors, trades, and suppliers Driving project schedules to meet deadlines and budgets Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting Acting as the main point of contact for field-related client communication
Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects Strong track record working on K-12, healthcare, religious, office, or warehouse projects Houston market experience with a deep understanding of local building codes, regulations, and subcontractor base Consistent work history with long tenures at previous employers (no frequent job-hopping) Must provide a project list showing relevant ground-up projects Knowledge of scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or Procore scheduling modules) Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications Proven leadership and communication skills – able to motivate teams and manage conflict Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and quality control processes Familiarity with digital project management platforms (Procore preferred) Current OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain before start) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
