Position Title: Construction Superintendent

Team: Construction Planning and Procurement

Supervisor Title: Director, Construction Planning & Procurement FLSA Status: Exempt

General Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that schedules and budgets are adhered to, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule and budget adherence: Execute projects to achieve the established schedule and budget ensuring homes are ready per the closing schedule.
  2. Scheduling: Schedule the needed resources and materials to perform work in an efficient and aligned manner including external contractors, school partners, and internal resources.
  3. Quality Execution: Ensure products adhere to specifications and standards and correct any quality non-conformance to ensure delivery of an in spec and defect free product
  4. Resource Management: Define volunteer needs by project and co-ordinate with volunteer engagement on volunteer use.
  5. Warranty Support: Act as primary point of contact for after sale support, maintain records, and coordinate any repair work.



Requirements:

Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations including energy star guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously coordinating internal and external resources
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to read blueprints and decipher construction documents
  • Valid Driver’s License (travel within service area is required)
  • Proficient with computers, software, and mobile computing
