Actalent is looking for a Commercial & Multi-Family Superintendent to join our client, a mission-driven general contractor focused on building and renovating affordable housing in the Midwest!

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and relationship-savvy Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of a transformative redevelopment project for a low-income housing community. This role requires not only technical construction expertise but also the emotional intelligence to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, including residents, community leaders, and municipal agencies.
Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site construction activities for commercial and multi-family redevelopment projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and schedules to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
Serve as the primary on-site liaison between the client, community stakeholders, and internal teams.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant job site in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
Lead daily site meetings and provide regular progress updates to project leadership.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or community relations.
Ensure quality control and adherence to architectural and engineering plans.
Foster a respectful and empathetic environment for residents during redevelopment phases.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and/or multi-family construction, with at least 2 years in a superintendent role.
Proven experience managing redevelopment or affordable housing projects.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and schedules.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
Full suite of benefits including dental, eye, and medical. PTO is offered, as well as a 401 (k) match

This is a fully onsite position in Saint Louis,MO.
