Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Job Description
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and completing construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. The Superintendent is expected to work independently, using sound judgment, while maintaining alignment with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Thoroughly review project plans and specifications to understand all aspects of the work.
Collaborate with the Project Manager, Director of Field Operations, and subcontractors to develop and maintain a detailed construction schedule (CPM).
Identify and coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment needs, ensuring alignment with budget and availability.
Arrange for necessary inspections and utility markings, and confirm that all required subcontracts, purchase orders, and insurance certificates are in place before work begins.
Report any missing documentation to the Project Manager or Director of Field Operations and follow their guidance on how to proceed.
Coordinate jobsite security through the Director of Field Operations for the duration of the project.
Lead weekly safety meetings and ensure the site is equipped with proper safety gear and first aid supplies, in coordination with the Safety Director.
Support and develop team members while continuing to grow your own leadership and management skills.
Maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with the Project Manager and Director of Field Operations.
Oversee all on-site trade work to meet or exceed the construction schedule.
Lead weekly subcontractor meetings with the Project Manager and key supervisors.
Review and update the CPM schedule with project leadership to maintain progress.
Form and lead a jobsite safety committee; address safety concerns in weekly meetings.
Ensure quality control by inspecting work for compliance with plans and specs.
Report deficiencies to subcontractors and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
Supervise field staff; hire/terminate hourly workers with approval.
Manage work within budget and oversee testing and quality assurance.
Conduct or delegate weekly safety meetings and ensure jobsite safety.
Be present on-site during work hours or arrange approved supervision.
Enforce jobsite rules, regular work hours, and required postings.
Maintain accurate as-built drawings and permit records.
Submit daily reports to the main office by Monday and Thursday evenings.
Keep a daily logbook with weather, milestones, visitors, delays, safety issues, and directives.
Report accidents immediately and complete required forms.
Uphold ADA, EOE, OSHA, and Drug-Free Workplace policies.
Provide input on subcontractor payments and flag financial concerns.

The role is primarily onsite, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. The environment involves managing construction sites and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $62.50/hr.
