Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

A nationally recognized general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure and building projects is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team to support their Port Authority projects throughout NYC. This is a high-impact role on a marquee project valued at over $200 million. The ideal candidate will bring deep field experience, strong leadership, and a passion for delivering excellence in construction execution.
Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with design, budget, and schedule.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and field staff to maintain project momentum and quality.
Interpret construction drawings and provide technical guidance on methods, materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule and logistics plan.
Ensure compliance with contract documents and enforce safety protocols in accordance with the Site-Specific Safety Plan.
Maintain strong communication with on-site owner representatives and project stakeholders.
Monitor material and equipment usage to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Essential Skills

Construction management
Heavy civil and roadway construction experience
Minimum 20 years of field supervisory experience, including 10+ years as a Superintendent on large-scale projects ($200M+)
Proven experience in new building and structural construction (piles, concrete, structural steel, etc.)
Strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid, and Procure
OSHA and First Aid certifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Familiarity with City, State, and Federal Government construction projects is a plus

The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
