The positions are for Construction Supervisor Level 2, one for electrical discipline at the Singing Grass Wind Project in Colorado. The responsibilities for the electrical supervisor with a focus on overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems including power distribution systems, substations, high voltage systems, low voltage systems, and SCADA systems. This role involves developing work schedules, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals, and planning resource allocations including labor, equipment, and materials. The electrical supervisor will provide training, mentoring, and support to team members, monitor workforce performance, and resolve personnel issues as needed. They will ensure that all work complies with project specifications, electrical codes, and safety standards, perform inspections to verify system performance, and maintain detailed records of quality control processes. The supervisor will also supply information to the project manager regarding budgetary constraints and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety. Ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards, participating in safety meetings, and conducting regular site walks to assess progress and identify challenges are also key responsibilities. The electrical supervisor will act as the main point of contact for all electrical aspects of the project and provide regular progress updates to the project manager, construction manager, and stakeholders. Both roles involve developing work schedules, coordinating with project managers and engineers, resource allocation, training team members, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards, and maintaining quality control.
What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications (technology/application/software, etc.) required?
For the Electrical Supervisor position, candidates must have five to seven years of electrical experience on wind turbine systems, including experience with power distribution systems, high voltage, low voltage, and substations.
Direct experience with Vestas platforms is preferred.
An electrical degree is required for this role, along with proven leadership skills and professionalism in interactions with work crews.
Position demands a high level of expertise and the ability to effectively manage and coordinate activities in the field..
Additionally, a valid driver's license is required.
