Project Manager This role will provide management direction for project(s) as well as procure equipment and subcontracts; monitor and project job costs, maintain billing and schedules, and provide technical support and leadership to the field. This role will also provide production oversight with the project Superintendent on the day-to-day activities of assigned projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 5 years' experience managing mechanical construction projects Experience in negotiating construction change orders Project presentation experience Intermediate level Excel expertise Technical and business letter writing experience Must be able to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications, schematic diagrams, and isometric drawings Must live in the DFW metroplex and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Renovation experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for quality projects built on time and within budget Stay on top of project estimates, and verify accuracy of entry into job cost system Conduct planning meetings to ensure understanding of contract terms and conditions, clauses, schedules, and any unusual requirements of the project Document meeting results and ensure completion of action items Develop and keep current all project schedules Establish & execute subcontract and equipment buy-outs to support schedules and funding Perform work inspections, check job progress, and resolve any issues while visiting job site or onsite office daily Investigate and implement corrective measures as necessary for potentially serious job issues Constant review for all scope changes and make certain they are processed and incorporated in a timely manner Provide material take-off, estimate, and pricing for changes to scope of work Conduct and attend job meetings according to customer and company guidelines and schedules
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES bility to solve complex, multi-faceted problems Strong knowledge of MS Office suite Good understanding of financial models used in fixed price, cost plus, and unit rate price contracting Experience with job cost accounting systems Excellent written and oral communication skills Polished presentation skills Will walk the job site on a regular basis which requires the ability to physically navigate the hazards of a new project worksite Will need to be reasonably on-call as necessary which may include evenings, weekends, and some holidays bility to work on the job site daily Will inspect work, check progress, and conduct meetings as needed for resolution issues
