Salary: 100-120K

Bogart Constructions Lead Estimator is responsible for generating and managing estimates for bidding efforts while providing leadership, training, and mentoring estimators under the Estimating Manager.

Responsibilities / Duties:

Assist the Estimating Manager in reviewing plans and specifications

Perform accurate quantity take-offs for all scopes for all trades (div.2-div.16)

Generate and prepares GMP, scopes, estimates, and budgets.

Develop subcontractor relationships.

Effective in preliminary estimate pricing, building systems, constructability, etc.

Bid day support: qualifying subcontractor bids and reviewing overall bid with Estimating Manager

Ability to read and understand all plans and specs.

Mentor and develop Estimators.

Visits project sites for evaluation of construction means and methods.

Required Skills:

BS degree in one of the following - Business, Engineering, Construction or Architecture

Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Excellent in Excel, Projects, MS Word, MS Outlook

Minimum 3-5 years experience in estimating/construction

Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and understand plans, specifications, lease exhibits, landlord requirements, work letters etc.

Highly organized, efficient, motivated, ethical, entrepreneurial spirit

Fosters a creative and enthusiastic can do attitude.

Work well under pressure, especially when faced with unexpected occurrences and delays.

Familiarity with computers & software programs for Job Costing, tracking reports, scheduling, and estimating.

Ability to coordinate several tasks at once while resolving specific problems.
