Client Details Our client is a well-known, leading national General Contractor that is building out their US presence near Cicero, IL. Overall, this organization is over a billion dollars in revenue with the US being multi-million. They are now looking to bring on a strong Project Accountant to assist in the growth of the company and exciting upcoming projects. Description Project Accountant ** Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of project costs and revenues. Perform analysis and reconciliation of project accounts. Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts. Coordinate with project managers to review financial status of projects. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Participate in the annual audit process. Support the accounting department with other tasks as needed. Profile A successful Project Accountant should * * A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of project accounting Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
