Project scope: ranges from $1K-40M
Project variety: Multifamily/Assisted Living, Office, Retail, Industrial, Churches, Agricultural Structures, Education, Municipal, and other Commercial
Self-perform: carpentry
Job Description
Responsibilities of the project manager:
- Developing and maintaining project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are properly authorized and tracked, and that project costs remain within budgetary constraints.
- Assisting in and developing estimates of project scopes.
- Assisting in and developing some initial project drawings.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, including resource allocation and critical path analysis, to ensure timely completion of all project tasks and milestones.
- Managing project risk by identifying potential problems, developing contingency plans, and communicating risk management strategies to team members and stakeholders.
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure project success and to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure that work is being performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Managing all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
- Preparing and presenting project status reports to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Leading project meetings and facilitating communication among all team members and stakeholders.
- Mentoring and coaching junior team members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to help them grow and develop their skills and expertise.
- Representing the company in a professional manner at all times, building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the company's project management processes and tools, and supporting the development of best practices and standards.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction project management.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents.
- Proven track record of managing projects within budget and on schedule.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Procore/MS studio or other construction project management software preferred.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
