Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr Structural Steel Erection Estimator GPAC is seeking a knowledgeable Structural Steel Erection Estimator for immediate consideration. GPAC's client is a full service, turn-key construction company specializing in all erection-oriented projects. They specialize in various commercial and industrial complex steel structures. Responsibilities Understand the project and its requirements Determine key variables for cost and other estimates Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc. Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.) Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.) Explore documentation in order to gain a deeper understanding of the project requirements Select, measure and track important metrics Prepare relevant and reliable forecasts Create and present reports to upper management Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents in order to prepare estimates Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation in order to ensure overall accuracy Maintain thorough records of all project documentation including estimates, sales receipts, and project completion documentation Required Qualifications And Skills Proficient with design drawings, architectural & structural drawings, & project specs At minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience, particularly in the vertical/steel construction market Must be able to complete a steel erection/construction estimate from start to finish with no supervision Must be a team-player Understanding of construction documents, change orders, & requests for information (RFI's) We offer competitive wages, excellent benefits, and career longevity.
