Job Title: Traveling Construction Superintendent
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. As a superintendent, you will oversee on-site construction activities for Warehouse/Trucking Terminal Projects nationwide. This role requires an individual who is both skilled in hands-on carpentry work and proficient in managing construction operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage on-site construction activities while actively engaging in carpentry work.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor, and materials on the construction site.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.
Perform carpentry tasks, including framing, installation/repairs, miscellaneous metal work, finishing, and repairs.
Collaborate with the project manager to achieve project goals within the specified timeline.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site and participate in safety initiatives.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the construction team on-site.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a construction site supervisor with hands-on carpentry skills.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Proficient in carpentry tasks, including framing, PEMB, light gauge metal framing, finishing, and repairs.
Ability to lead and coordinate on-site construction activities effectively.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Basic understanding of project management principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Relevant certifications in carpentry or construction supervision are a plus.
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic construction environment.
Work Environment
This position requires 100% travel to various construction sites nationwide. The work environment is dynamic and involves hands-on construction management with a focus on safety and quality standards. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
