The successful candidate will be tasked with building a dynamic team from the ground up and will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational management of construction activities across multiple regions. Key responsibilities for this leadership position include the development and implementation of strategic plans to optimize construction operations, overseeing budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for various projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards. The role also involves close collaboration with other departments, managing relationships with stakeholders, and driving continuous process improvements to enhance productivity. Applicants for the VP of Construction Operations role at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates with an MBA or advanced degree. A minimum of 15 years' of experience in residential construction, including at least 5 years' in a senior leadership capacity, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale home building operations, a strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and industry regulations, and proficiency in construction management software and the Microsoft Office suite. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to mentor and lead a team, stay current on industry trends, and balance high-level strategic planning with day-to-day operational management.
