As Vice President of Development, you will own the full cycle of high-visibility healthcare development projects while partnering closely with architects, general contractors, investors, healthcare system representatives, community members, and wide array of key stakeholders to lead projects across the country, ensuring that they achieve client goals and are delivered on time and under budget. YOUR MISSION AS VP OF DEVELOPMENT LEAD NEW HEALTHCARE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS – Lead project design and construction teams with clear direction on building and site design, construction, and delivery methods. Support creation of implementable and financeable pre-development plans integrating client input and MedCraft standards while optimizing building efficiency, flexibility and life cycle costs. Manage and provide input on all legal, including AIA architect and contractor agreements and project terms and agreements with capital partners. ENSURE EFFECTIVE PROJECT DELIVERY + PERFORMANCE – Monitor performance against project budgets, project schedules, quality control standards and other metrics established in pre-development plan. Proactively identify and address variances to plan. Oversee change management and control internal costs to ensure profitability. Ensure hands-on involvement through to project close out. Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives focused on improving the project delivery process at MedCraft. BUILD A COLLABORATIVE ECOSYSTEM OF KEY STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS – Ensure clear and consistent communications with clients, community boards, governmental entities and related outside agencies. Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including close partnership with finance, leasing, asset management, planning, legal and other functions within the development process. In partnership with general contractor, support issue and conflict resolution to facilitate project success. DEVELOP MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS + SUPPORT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS – Support annual development and implementation of MedCraft’s annual marketing and business development plan. Contribute proactively to RFP processes for new opportunities. Build relationships that generate high-trust and repeat business requests. Build industry relationships with construction, engineering and architecture firms to generate referrals and potential for new development and owner rep project opportunities. You offer prior experience and or project exposure to healthcare development , including a track record of success and involvement in new ground-up construction and renovation of existing assets for healthcare construction projects with demanding resource, risk and/or complexity requirements. You bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building the future of healthcare. You thrive while working alongside a small yet nimble multidisciplinary team of healthcare experts. Ideal candidates bring prior experience and or exposure to full-cycle real estate development , including financing and investor stakeholders, site selection, RFP processes, and more. Four-year degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field required. You bring strong technology skills , including proficiency with MS Office Applications, virtual meeting platforms, project management software and other typically utilized construction tech stack applications.
