As a Permanent Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic and fast-paced construction company. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of projects from beginning to end. This role is a combination of managing people, running meetings, doing estimations and schedules, following up with various people, and ensuring everything is done in the right way. You will be coordinating with a variety of stakeholders including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and will be expected to handle both administrative and hands-on work. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage construction projects in the industrial and commercial building sectors.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
Review the work progress on a daily basis.
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Manage the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, bidding, and cost accounting.
Lead and support design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage brownfield redevelopment projects, ensuring all aspects are completed to a high standard.

Qualifications:

Proven working experience in construction management.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
Competent in conflict and crisis management.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
Familiarity with construction management software packages (Autodesk, etc.).
Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
Strong knowledge of commercial glass and glass manufacturing processes.
Excellent knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, safety management, and site management.
Proficient in strategic planning, resource allocation, contract management, and risk management.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and lead design teams.
Ability to read and understand financial metrics and data.
Experience of 10+ years in construction management or a related field.
BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field; PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
