Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent with a strong background in Healthcare Construction. This position is responsible for overseeing all stages of project life cycle and ensuring that projects are completed within time and budget constraints. If you are a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of healthcare construction, you could be the perfect fit for our company. The candidate must have a proven track record in managing complex construction projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. This role requires a hands-on approach, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, from planning and design to construction and completion. 2. Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. 3. Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members. 4. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. 5. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. 6. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. 7. Report and escalate to management as needed. 8. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. 9. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. 10. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. 11. Ensure compliance with OSHPD and HCAI regulations and standards. 12. Lead and inspire a team of construction workers and professionals.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction. 2. Proven working experience in project management in the construction sector. 3. Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in construction and project management software. 4. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 6. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. 7. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools. 8. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field. 9. Extensive knowledge and experience with OSHPD and HCAI regulations and standards. 10. Ability to lead and inspire a team. 11. Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
