Job Details
Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Superintendent for Healthcare Construction to join our team. This role is a permanent position and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of healthcare construction projects, from ground up to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction renovations, expansion, MOB, project management, and budget management.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of healthcare construction projects. * Manage construction schedules and activities; coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. * Supervise on-site construction team, subcontractors, and vendors; ensure compliance with construction safety regulations. * Review and approve project plans and specifications; identify potential issues or risks and propose solutions. * Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality and standards are met. * Manage project budget, including tracking expenditures and forecasting costs; negotiate contracts and change orders as necessary. * Maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders; communicate project status and updates regularly. * Ensure all construction activities align with environmental and health and safety regulations. * Provide technical construction direction and problem-solving leadership on challenging issues. * Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, safety, and high performance.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction management, specifically in healthcare construction. * Proven experience in construction renovations, ground up, addition, expansion, MOB, project management, and budget management. * Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, safety policies, and quality standards. * Exceptional leadership and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders. * Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. * Proficiency in construction management software and technology. * Certification in project management and/or a professional license in related field is preferred. * Ability to travel as needed to construction sites. * Must be able to physically navigate construction site environments.
